During the early weeks, we work diligently to build a sense of trust with our puppies. While strong genetics make a significant difference, that isn’t all you need to breed excellent Mini Sheepadoodle puppies. We handpick each parent pair to ensure genetic quality, and we back up our commitment with a two-year health guarantee. We take great pride in raising our Mini Sheepadoodle puppies the right way and being responsible breeders. Instead of crossing Old English Sheepdogs with Standard Poodles, Mini Sheepadoodles are a cross between Miniature Poodles and Old English Sheepdogs, resulting in a smaller Doodle with the same characteristics as their larger counterparts. While Standard Sheepadoodles are usually larger than other Doodles, Mini Sheepadoodles are smaller. By the early 200s, the Sheepadoodles popularity rose along with other Doodles, such as the Goldendoodle and the Labradoodle. During the 1980s, increased interest in the hypoallergenic Poodle drove people to appreciate mixed breeds like the Sheepadoodle. While Sheepadoodles weren’t suited for the military, the result was a wonderful family pet. The US Army believed they would get a high-quality working breed, but the resulting good-natured, carefree, and loving nature of the Sheepadoodles made them ill-suited for the desired work, so the military ended their use. The goal was to breed puppies with the bravery of Old English Sheepdogs and the intelligence of Poodles. Sheepadoodles were originally developed by the US Army as military dogs during the 1960s.
